Body-safe life casting silicone kit

Body-Safe is a durable platinum-cure silicone rubber designed for direct skin application to create molds of the face, hands, and other body parts. It cures rapidly, capturing intricate details with superior accuracy compared to alginate. Additionally, Body-Safe is skin-safe and independently lab-certified.

What’s included in your package:

1. Body-Safe Silicone Kit: Part A and Part B;
2. Latex-Free Gloves;
3. Mixing Cups;
4. Mixing Sticks;
5. Vaseline (Used as a release agent to ensure the mold comes off your body easily after the process).

Instructions

1. Before you start:

   Prepare the Casting Area:

• Shave the area you will be casting (leaving hair may affect the final result). Skin should be clean and free of make-up, cosmetics, skin creams, oils perfumes, etc. Do not apply rubber over skin coated with an aloe-based product, as this will cause cure inhibition.
• Cover your workspace with plastic to make cleanup easier.
• Ensure your room is at a comfortable temperature (not too cold).
• Have a timer ready to track your process.
• Place a mirror nearby, especially if you are doing the casting yourself.
2. Safety first:
• Apply a small amount of Vaseline to a small part of your skin to check for allergic reactions.
• Mix a tiny amount of Part A and Part B and apply it to your skin to check for silicone sensitivity.
• If you notice any allergic reactions, stop immediately and do not proceed.
3. Getting started:
1. Apply a thin layer of Vaseline to your hands, then gently rub it onto the area being cloned.
• Avoid applying too much Vaseline, as it can prevent the mold from capturing fine details.
2. Measure equal amounts of Part A and Part B into two separate cups (scales are not required).
3. Pour both parts into a single cup and start the timer immediately.
4. Mixing and applying silicone:
1. Mix thoroughly with the provided stick for 1-2 minutes.
2. Apply the silicone within the next 2-4 minutes:
• First Layer: Apply a thin, even layer to capture all textures and details. Use the mirror to ensure complete coverage with no missed spots.
• Second Layer: Build a thicker layer to create the structure of the mold. Don’t hesitate to use additional silicone if needed.
• Extend the silicone slightly beyond the target area to create a larger mold, making it easier for us to craft your custom toy.
5. Finishing the application:
• Ensure the entire process (mixing and application) is completed within 5-6 minutes.
• Let the silicone cure for 10-20 minutes (depends on room temperature).
• You can check if the mold is cured by gently touching the surface.
6. After curing:
1. Once the mold feels firm, carefully remove it from your body.
2. Allow the mold to cure completely for 2 hours:
• Place horizontal molds flat with the mold side up.
• For vertical molds, secure them upright to prevent deformation.
• Pack the mold securely in a box with padding (e.g., paper) to prevent damage during shipping.
7. Final steps:

• If any issues arise with the mold, we will contact you promptly to discuss necessary adjustments.
• If everything is done perfectly and we have a nice mold, we will make the toy and ship it to you.
